My Approach to Real Estate

Making informed real estate decisions requires more than just market knowledge; it also involves effective client guidance. My work is informed by a wealth of experience across various disciplines that most brokers seldom explore — including engineering, property assessment, renovation, photography, marketing, and hospitality, all of which enhance my approach to real estate transactions.

1. Financial, Tax & Assessment Insight

Early in my career, I worked in accounting and property taxation, including serving as the Personal Property Tax Director for Washington Township (Westfield area). This experience provided me with direct exposure to property assessment processes, including how properties are valued, taxed, and assessed — and how these factors can impact ownership costs over time. 


I leverage this perspective in every real estate transaction, offering client guidance that helps clients navigate their real estate decisions with greater clarity, fewer surprises, and stronger long-term confidence.

2. Engineering, Operations & Problem-Solving Mindset

With an extensive background in engineering, technology, and large-scale business transformation, I am trained to think structurally, anticipate risks, and communicate clearly when stakes are high. I bring that same discipline and clarity into real estate, providing client guidance to help them navigate complex real estate transactions with confidence, transparency, and a clear understanding of property assessment, what’s happening, and what comes next in their real estate decisions.

3. Construction, Renovation & “Under-the-Hood” Knowledge

Personally, I’ve been purchasing, hands-on renovating, and selling homes for years -- from historic, turn-of-the-century houses that I completely gutted and reimagined, to distressed modern properties and foreclosures that became beautiful, livable spaces again.


For clients, this experience translates into valuable client guidance during showings and inspections, clearer real estate decisions about what’s fixable versus risky, and stronger negotiating positions.

4. Visual Storytelling, Marketing & Brand Presence

I provide my own professional photography, visual storytelling, and digital marketing expertise, offering valuable client guidance throughout the real estate transactions process. I’ve built a large, engaged social media audience through my photography work, creating visual content that connects emotionally and aids in property assessment. For clients, this means properties presented with intention and clarity, resulting in stronger first impressions, broader reach, and marketing that tells a compelling story rather than simply listing features, ultimately supporting better real estate outcomes.

5. Hospitality, Experience & Lifestyle Perspective

As a co-founder of Someday Stays, I’ve designed, renovated, and operated short-term rental properties with a strong focus on comfort, flow, and guest experience. This work has significantly influenced my perspective on space — viewing it not just as an asset, but as a place where people live, rest, and create memories. Through effective client guidance, I ensure that clients benefit from a broader perspective that encompasses lifestyle, livability, and experience. This approach is crucial whether they are buying a primary residence, relocating, or considering investments with future uses in mind.
